Months of August and September are the last part of South West Monsoon with moderately warm days. Temperature is in between 22 to 28 degree Celsius. As it rains only few hours a day the weather is comfortable and enjoyable with lots of sunny spill.
Unlike North Indian Monsoon, Kerala Monsoon is not extreme or violent. With comfortable temperature and soothing wind, Kerala Monsoon is famous as a unique holiday experience. The nature is fresh and attractive due to occasional rainfalls.
The unique location of Somatheeram and Manaltheeram is blessed with a micro climatic region which eliminates extreme and continuous rains due to its peninsular proximity to the ocean. The Southern tip of Kerala is more influenced by Tamil Nadu weather system than central Kerala weather system. This uniqueness make Somatheeram and Manltheeram a year round Holiday destination with sunny and warm weather. The vast beach of Chowara can be enjoyed for sunbathe throughout the year.
